About Washington, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Washington, Indiana is a growing city with about 11,600 residents. It serves as the county seat of Daviess County, and it was originally founded in 1815. The railroad was constructed through Washington in 1857, and while the railroad previously employed over a thousand locals, the community is primarily residential today. There are four elementary schools located here, and older students will attend Junior High School and Washington High School. There are also two private schools – Washington Catholic Schools and Corner Christian School.

Washington is home to some important places for visitors and residents to enjoy. Outdoor recreation is popular in the area at Eastside, Longfellow, and South Parks, while sports lovers might like to check out the Henry R. Swaltney Sports Complex. WOW – Waterworld of Washington is a great place for visitors to beat the hot summer heat, and shopping is plentiful at Washington Plaza and Knickers & Petticoats. There are also a variety of interesting restaurants here, including Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant, Mason’s Root Beer Drive-In, and Bobe’s Pizza Express.

Located with a humid subtropical zone, Washington weather conditions feature four distinct seasons. The spring is wet but comfortable, so residents are encouraged to take this time to service their central air conditioning systems. Once the summer begins, temperatures quickly rise, as do humidity levels. Many days see high temperatures well within the 90s, so a reliable air conditioner is crucial to make it through the season comfortably.

A reprieve is enjoyed during the autumn months when daily highs fall into the 60s and 70s, but winters are cool to cold. Snowfall tends to be minimal, but overnight lows often fall below freezing. An energy efficient gas or electric furnace will keep home interiors warm during this time, and the right system might even help to keep heating costs affordable.
